In relation to exploring issues and innovations around leadership and coaching of academic and vocational professionals responsible for development of robust and reliable high-quality educational resources required for teacher and clinical education certification, artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques are becoming more globally popular. In educational assessment methods and psychometric testing, evaluating competencies is now highly important. Using natural language processing techniques (NLP) for ‘semi-automatic item generation’ (AIG), applications of the artificial intelligence large language model (LLM) ‘Google Gemini’, will be detailed giving a practical treatise of its effectiveness in creating test materials specialized towards specified testing domains. Supported by the author’s specialist research expertise, this is of importance because it provides a unique view incorporating international academic experts, innovation, and collaborative situated learning within virtual professional learning communities (PLC) producing valuable data-driven educational resources.
