The aim of my study is to explore impact of picture describing method on 10th grade students’ speaking skills of members in EFL classroom. The investigation lasted 8 weeks. 10th grade students of the autonomous school in the western area of Kazakhstan were chosen. There were 14 students in experimental and 14 students in control group. Measurement tools were observation lists, informal interviews, and a survey. Students made posters based on curricular topics weekly. The process included working in teams, making posters, elaborating, assessing, and giving feedback. Rubric contained fluency, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, main content, creativity. The results show that students who performed poorly on the pretest in expressing their ideas through simple sentences with lengthy pauses were able to speak more fluently and confidently while utilizing both basic and complicated phrases, including passive voice, participle 1, conditionals, and adequate vocabulary. For instance, two students who had received a score of 2 out of 6 on the pretest were able to increase to 4 and 5 out of 6 on the posttest. There were no such improvements observed in the control group's participants. Students in the experimental group performed 1-1.5 points better on the posttest, on average. By observation and survey, it was shown that students had increased their vocabulary knowledge by 30.4%, their accuracy by 25.4%, and their fluency by 27.6%. Grammar constructs like conditionals, participles, and infinitives/gerunds have been taught to the students.
